MIDLAND, Texas — Luis D. Sánchez announced Friday that he is submitting his candidacy for re-election as the Midland County Commissioner of Precinct 3.
Commissioner Sánchez launched his campaign back in August.
"At the time of the launch, Sánchez highlighted the transformative strides made in South Midland over the years, emphasizing the pivotal improvements made in the region's infrastructure, such as substantial road enhancements and achieving the lowest County property tax rate in Texas," a press release stated.
Sánchez has been the Midland County Commissioner of Precinct 3 since 2009.
Commissioner Sánchez says he is deeply committed to community growth and development, which has been an integral part of Midland's process.
Commissioner Sánchez will be going up against Midlander and Businessman Steven Villela for the position.
The election for Midland County Commissioner of Precinct 3 is on November 5, 2024.
