ALPINE, Texas — A family and their pets are safe Wednesday after a structure fire just before noon, according to an Alpine Fire Department (AFD) Facebook post.
AFD was notified that the fire was located in the 300 block of South 6th St.
According to the post, when firefighters arrived, they were able to get everyone out of the home. Personnel also assisted multiple "family pets" out of the home.
The post stated that AFD was able to extinguish the fire before it spread throughout the home and nearby structures.
According to the post, one person was "assessed on scene" by Emergency Medical Services. The family pets were taken care of by Alpine Animal Control.
In the post, AFD thanked their public safety and utility partners for their assistance in ensuring everyone's safety.
