JAL, N.M. — The Jal, New Mexico human remains case has officially concluded, according to Lea County Undersheriff Micheal Walker Thursday nigh.
Walker said, "there is no medical or legal significance by the Office of the Medical Investigator."
Walker went on to say there were seven skulls retrieved from the property, all featuring "ornamental pieces embedded or carved into them."
"These decorative elements have been identified as having originated outside of the United States," said Walker.
Walker said investigators determined the skulls were obtained online.
These remains will be medically cremated.
