MIDLAND - Midland Memorial Hospital's long awaited new tower finally opened on Wednesday.
The nine story Scharbauer Tower began accepting patients at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The new wing of the hospital includes a new emergency room and additional operating rooms.
There is also a new maternity ward.
