The smallest county in West Texas is getting ready to speak out in support of their post office.

Loving County Judge Skeet Jones called NewsWest 9 on Wednesday and said they will be having a meeting about the possible closure of their post office in Mentone.

If it does shut down, residents will have to trek 45 minutes to Pecos to pick up packages.

Jones says the County would have to do something to off-set the cost of fuel.
