BIG SPRING, TX (KWES) - Steward Health Care officially acquired their 37th national hospital, Scenic Mountain Medical Center, in Big Spring on April 12 at midnight.
“The addition of Scenic Mountain Medical Center to the Steward family expands our successful, physician-led, integrated care model in Texas,” said Texas Regional President of Steward Health Care Trip Pilgrim. “We look forward to working with the exceptionally talented team at Scenic Mountain to provide the highest quality of care to residents in Big Spring and surrounding communities.”
This is the sixth Texas hospital they purchased according to a tweet by the company.
Scenic Mountain Medical Group 16 providers specializing in primary care, family medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, ENT, and general surgery have all joined the Steward Medical Group.

These new team members from Scenic Mountain Medical Center are a part of the nation’s largest private, tax-paying physician-led health care network in the United States.
