NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Either the Midland Rockhounds or the Arkansas Travelers took home the 2024 Texas League Championship title Wednesday.
Rockhounds won Game 1 of the series 10-8 on Sunday and the Travelers won Game 2 on Tuesday 3-1.
Travelers get the scoring started
Two singles and a walk by the Travelers loaded up the bases for Arkansas.
Pitcher Jack Perkins was able to get two Travelers out on strikes.
Two down in the 3rd.
One out away from the Rockhounds ending the inning, a single from third baseman Ben Williamson brought in two Travelers. Another base hit this time by right fielder Alberto Rodriguez brought in another run.

Rockhounds get one back in the 5th
With Junior Perez on second base and Denzel Clarke on first base, Rockhounds' Brennan Milone singled to center field to score in Perez.

Arkansas' Ben Williamson scores another run for his team
Two runners on in the 7th inning for the Travelers and Williamson back at the plate. Williamson came through again with a single to score in shortstop Cole Young.
4-1 Arkansas at the end of the 7th.
Midland Rockhounds tied it in the 8th
Runners at third base and first base with two outs in the 8th inning and second baseman Euribiel Angeles at the plate for the Rockhounds.
On the 3-2 pitch, Angeles grounded a ball to Williamson at third and Williamson committed a throwing error, scoring in a run for Midland.
Then, Jordan Groshans singled to center field to bring in Will Simpson to make it 4-3 Arkansas.
Pitching change made by the Travelers. Luis Curvelo on the mound.
Curvelo would then walk Jeremy Eierman to load the bases for the Rockhounds.
Then, Curvelo walked Junior Perez, bringing in a run to tie the game up at 4-4.
Clarke lined out to left field ending the inning.
Travelers win in the bottom of the 9th
Rodriguez hit a single to center field to bring in Young. Travelers walked it off and won the Texas League Championship title for the first time in 16 years.
