MIDLAND, TX (KWES)
A teacher for the Midland Independent School District has been arrested for his relationship with a student.
Shane Sawyer, 22, was put behind bars for texting inappropriate things to a female student.
It all happened while he was a teacher and coach at Alamo Junior High.
Last week, he admitted to police that he had texted the girl asking for explicit photographs and a sexual relationship.
Sawyer was questioned after the student told the Midland Independent School District employees about the text messages.
