MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Authorities are investigating after a body was found in Midland County on Tuesday morning.

The discovery was made around 10:45 a.m.

Midland County Sheriff Gary Painter tells NewsWest 9, a man was found dead on his front porch off of West County Road 54.

Authorities have identified the man as Justin Martin, 32.

According to Midland County Sheriff's Department, Justice of the Peace Judge David Cobos pronounced Martin dead and said it seemed as though Martin's body had been unresponsive for quite some time.

Painter tells NewsWest 9, "This particular case there were no outward signs of trauma of any type to the body. There was no explanation, there was no suicide note, there was nothing that would indicate a cause of death."

We are told by family members the body was discovered by Martin's father. According to Sheriff Painter, there was no appearance of trauma found on the body upon arrival.

An autopsy through the Midland County medical examiner has been ordered.

Painter says the family members had just seen Martin the night before, "They had seen him the night before, he had been drinking alcohol but there was nothing to indicate that there might be some kind of turbulence of any kind or any kind of personal problem."
