HOBBS, NM (KWES) - UPDATE: Hobbs police said that Joshua Puente, 25, has been captured and is currently in custody.
Puente was found inside an abandoned resident in the 300 block of East Stanolind on Friday.

A man was shot and killed on Thursday in Hobbs, and the alleged gunman is on the run.
According to Hobbs police, they were called out to the 1000 block of East Gypsy Street on a report of shots fired.
Officers found Darrell Griffin, 35, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Griffin was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigation revealed that what began as a verbal argument between Griffin and Joshua Puente, 25, escalated to a deadly shooting.
An arrest warrant for Puente has been issued for an open count of murder and a $150,000 cash bond has been set.
Puente's location is unknown at this time.
