Odessa Police arrested Oliver on 8-15-14 for Theft of Property, a Class A Misdemeanor, for being in possession of stolen property. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Alameda and the 2500 block of Park during the morning hours in reference to multiple auto burglaries. Several items were stolen out of both vehicles consisting of jewelry, cash, sunglasses, and electronics. The investigation was turned over to detectives, who located the actor at the Stripes at 42nd Street and Kermit Highway. The actor was identified as Oliver and was found to be in possession of stolen property from the burglarized vehicles. The property was returned to their owners and Oliver was charged and arrested accordingly.
Odessa Police arrested Allen for Injury to an Elderly Person "3rd Degree Felony" and Evading Arrest or Detention with a Prior Conviction "State Jail Felony". Officers responded to the 1000 block of Center Avenue in reference to a family disturbance. Dispatch advised the actor had left southbound on foot wearing a white t-shirt and blue jean overalls.
While officers were responding, they observed a male subject matching the suspect's description in the east alley of the 1000 block of Center Avenue. When officers attempted to stop the subject, he immediately fled eastbound on foot towards the 1000 block of Moody and then northeast across several yards. Officers caught the subject in the 800 block of Moody, who was identified as Allen.
Investigation revealed that after Allen had been in an argument with his 72-year-old mother, he assaulted her by pushing her off the back porch, causing bodily injury. The victim sustained bruising to her left hip and was not transported to the hospital. Allen was charged and arrested accordingly.
Officers arrested Schorovsky on 8-17-14 for Burglary of a Habitation, a Second Degree Felony. Officers responded to the 2700 block of North Muskingum in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed a red Chevrolet Silverado attempting to flee the scene westbound on 29th Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle at 29th and Tom Green.
Investigation revealed that Schorovsky had gained entry into the residence thru the back door and stole clothing and toiletry items. Officers made contact with the owner of the residence, who reported nobody had consent to be inside her residence and advised she wished to file charges. Schorovsky was charged and arrested accordingly and the stolen items were returned to their owner.
Odessa Police arrested Ysasi for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, a Third Degree Felony. Officers observed a black Ford Taurus run a stop sign at Beal and Muskingum. A traffic stop was conducted and the front right passenger was identified as Ysasi. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered a handgun in the glove box. Ysasi admitted to officers that the gun belonged to her. A criminal history check revealed that Ysasi was a convicted felon. Ysasi was charged and arrested accordingly.
Odessa Police arrested Bejarrano on 8-17-14 for Possession of Cocaine, a State Jail Felony. While officers were working off-duty at Ajuua's Restaurant in the 2100 block of Andrews Highway, they observed two a disturbance between two Hispanic males. One of the subjects, identified as Bejarrano, was escorted out of the restaurant and his friend advised he would give him a ride home.
A few minutes later, Bejarrano came back into Ajuua's Restaurant to commence drinking alcohol beverages again. He had not listened to his friend and came back into the restaurant and had already demonstrated that he was willing to fight. Officers arrested Bejarrano for public intoxication. While searching Bejarrano, officers discovered cocaine inside his front watch pocket. Bejarrano was charged and arrested accordingly.
Odessa Police arrested Olivarez on 8-16-14 for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a Third Degree Felony. Officers observed a tan 2004 Chevrolet Blazer swerving and speeding at a high rate of speed and then observed it run a red light at 2nd and Golder. A traffic stop was conducted on the listed vehicle and the driver was identified as Olivarez. Field sobriety tests were conducted and Olivarez was placed into custody for driving while intoxicated. Dispatch advised Olivarez had multiple convictions for driving while intoxicated. Olivarez was charged and arrested accordingly.
Officers arrested Lott on 8-16-14 for Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility "3rd Degree Felony" and Public Intoxication "Class C Misdemeanor". Officers responded to the 300 block of East 38th Street in reference to an intoxicated subject knocking on the front door of a residence. Officers made contact with the subject, identified as Lott. Lott was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. While at the jail, Lott was found to be in possession of a bag of marijuana and was additionally charged with having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
Officers arrested Robinson on 8-17-14 for Possession of Cocaine "State Jail Felony" and No Proof of Insurance "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a gray 2003 Ford Escort run a stop sign at Nelson and Murphy. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Robinson. Officers searched the listed vehicle and discovered cocaine within arm's reach of the driver's seat. Robinson was charged and arrested accordingly.
Odessa Police arrested Snelson for Possession of Methamphetamine "State Jail Felony" and False Identification "Class B Misdemeanor". Officers observed a 1997 GMC Yukon traveling westbound in the 2900 block of East Highway 80 with an expired inspection sticker. A traffic stop was conducted and one of the passengers was eventually identified as Snelson. Officers searched Snelson and discovered a bag of methamphetamine inside his front right shorts pocket. Snelson had originally given officers a false name. Snelson was charged and arrested accordingly.
Odessa Police arrested Helms on 8-16-14 for Theft of Property with Two or More Prior Convictions, a State Jail Felony. Officers responded to Wal-Mart West in reference to a shoplifter. Wal-Mart personnel reported they observed Helms select several items and place them in her purse before exiting the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. Dispatch advised Helms had four prior convictions for theft. All of the merchandise, valued at approximately $150, was returned to Wal-Mart. Helms was charged and arrested accordingly.
