MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — DPS is investigating a crash on Airline Road that happened just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday .
The crash involved two vehicles and took place near the A-1 Homes location in Midland County.
According to the crash report from DPS, Joel Farley, 32, from Midland was driving east on Airline Road in a Dodge pickup.
At the same time Pedro Anchondo, 42, was traveling west in Ford Mustang and was making a slight right turn onto Airline Road.
Farley reportedly disregarded a stop sign and collided with the Mustang.
Anchondo was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown whether he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Farley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital. DPS says he is stable though there is no further word of his injuries.
The investigation is still ongoing and no more information is available at this time.
