ALPINE, Texas — Construction crews will begin work on SH 118 starting Monday, August 5, as announced by the Texas Department of Transportation.
This initiative is part of the Surfacing & Roadway Rehabilitation project, which spans from the Jeff Davis & Brewster County Line on SH 118 to the north side of Avenue E in downtown Alpine.
The project will include milling, asphalt overlay, new pavement markings, signage, metal beam guard fence replacement, and new curb ramps.
According to TXDOT, crews will be working both day and night shifts and the project is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2025.
