MIDLAND, Texas — UPDATE 3:45 p.m.: A city spokesperson has confirmed that the roadway is cleared and reopened.
Three cars were involved in the crash and two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Midland Fire Department is currently on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident.
The crash has closed the Northbound lanes of Midkiff Road between Andrews Highway and Golf Course Road.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area for the next few hours.
