MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — New details have been released by the Texas Department of Public Safety in reference to the fatal Hwy 80 crash on Thursday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report, 34-year-old Oslyn Fuentes, driving a BMW motorcycle, and 24-year-old Logan Jordan, driving a Kawasaki motorcycle, were going west on Business 20 at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection of Business 20 and Braniff.
Thirty-four-year-old Melinna Moya, driving a Chevrolet Traverse, was going east on Business 20 and turned north at the Braniff intersection.
As Moya was nearly clear of the intersection, that is when Fuentes and Jordan collided with her car.
Fuentes was pronounced dead at the scene and Jordan was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Moya was not injured in the crash, but her passenger, 67-year-old Polly Moya, was taken to MMH with minor injuries.
Texas DPS is still investigating the crash and no further information is available at this time.
