ODESSA, Texas — A San Antonio man is dead following a major crash that happened in the 170 block of North County Road West around 2 p.m. Friday.
According to Odessa Police, Jack William Ward II, 83, was driving a motorized scooter and was driving near North County Road West.
A Dodge Durango was traveling north on the road at the same time.
OPD says Ward was struck by the Dodge Durango when he was attempting to cross the road eastbound.
Ward was taken to a local hospital but was later pronounced deceased. Next of kin has been notified and the crash is still under investigation.
