MIDLAND, Texas — UPDATE: A spokesperson for the city has confirmed that the scene is clear and the lanes have been reopened.

On Thursday, a large truck struck the Front Street overpass crossing Big Spring Street, near downtown, according to a City of Midland spokesperson.
The incident caused the closure of the southbound lanes of Big Spring under the bridge.
