ODESSA, Texas — According to an email from the City of Odessa Monday started a road closure on Crane Avenue, with thru traffic being closed south of Clements Avenue.
Detours will be available for drivers on West Charles Street and Anderson Avenue.
The City of Odessa also wrote "traffic will also be reduced to one lane of traffic for east/west bound traffic along Clements Ave."
The reason for this road closure is road work being done by contractor Reece Albert and his crew, to complete replacing existing water infrastructure.
This roadwork is being done as part of the "Crane Avenue Reconstruction Project.
According to the City of Odessa this closure is expected to take 10 days to complete, and it started Monday Oct. 21.
"Citizens are asked to follow all traffic control devices, use alternate routes if needed, and expect delays while construction is in progress." The City of Odessa said.
