Several traffic alerts across West Texas to start the new year

Affected counties include Midland, Ward, Upton and Martin.

MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued several traffic alerts starting Tuesday in the Permian Basin.

In Midland County:

  • Starting on Tuesday and ending Thursday, multiple lanes are going to be closed on IH-20 for road repairs. This will be from Lamesa Rd until CR 1150 (MM 137-145).
  • During that same timespan, there will be a lane closure on SL 40 for trimming and landscape removal at the SH 349 intersection (MM 268-270).

In Ward County:

  • On Wednesday there will be pothole repair and delineation repairs on the Bridge Deck at the PR 41 intersection (MM 86-87).

In Upton County:

  • On Tuesday, there will be debris removal on SH 249 from the Midland/Upton County line to Rankin city limits (MM 362-392).
  • Also on Tuesday, there will be a sign repair on US 67 from CR 225 to Rankin city limits (MM 770-776).

In Martin County:

  • From Tuesday to Thursday there will be road repairs on FM 846 from CR 124 and continues east for two miles (MM 292-294).

In Crane County:

  • From Tuesday to Thursday there will be pavement sealing on FM 11 (MM 56-62).
