MIDLAND, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation have announced a South Midland project set to begin on Thursday.
The project, which was approved by city council in 2022, will be on Belmont St. at Longview Ave. This will include construction of a mini-roundabout, concrete paving and accessible sidewalk upgrades.
In 2020, the city was awarded grant funding through the Highway Safety Improvement Program of TxDOT. The grant's intention is to improve traffic safety at this intersection, which was determined to be a high crash location.
