Traffic alerts for the week of November 4

Drivers in the Permian Basin should be aware of these traffic alerts in the coming week.

TEXAS, USA — TxDOT has issued a series of traffic alerts for the week of November 4.

If you will be traveling in the area pay attention to workers and any warning signs displayed.

  • WINKLER COUNTY: Crews will be working on SH 302 at the bottom of the Caprock, from mile markers 238 to 240 on November 6. Lane closures will alternate as both lanes will be worked on. Please slow down and follow the pilot car safely.
  • ECTOR COUNTY: Crews will be working on the median of I-20 near Crane Avenue, around mile marker 116 on November 6. The shoulder of the road will be closed. Drivers should pass the work area carefully.
  • ECTOR COUNTY: Beginning Wednesday around noon, a contractor will close 52nd Street between JBS and Loop 338 to all through traffic. A detour will be in place directing traffic to SH 191. Traffic control will be in place for the next five weeks to include the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • PECOS COUNTY: Crews will be working on I-10 around mile markers 294-295 near Bakersfield on November 6. Lane closure and ramp closure will be necessary. Drivers should slow down in the work zone.
  • WARD COUNTY: An eastbound lane on the I-20 overpass in front of the Monahans State Park will be closed November 7. Access to the park will be maintained. Drivers should slow down in work zone.
  • WARD COUNTY: Litter pickup will close I-20 lanes on November 8 all through Ward County. Drivers should slow down in work zone.
