BARSTOW, Texas — TxDOT has placed temporary load restrictions on an overpass near Barstow.
The impacted area is the BI-20 overpass at Exit 52 on Interstate 20.
These limitations have been put in place due to damage from a bridge strike from an oversized load. The responsible party has not been identified yet.
The weight limitations are as follows:
- Single Axle at 20,000 pounds;
- Single Vehicle at 46,000 pounds;
- Tandem Axle at 30,000 pounds;
- Combination Vehicle at 59,000 pounds.
The limitations will stay in place until repairs are made to the bridge.
