BIG BEND NATIONAL PARK, Texas — Big Bend National Park experienced stable visitation numbers after reaching a record high during the pandemic, according to a new report from the National Park Service.
The year-end data for 2023 from the National Park Service indicates that almost 512,000 people visited the park last year, representing a slight decline of less than one percent compared to the previous year’s total of just under 517,000 visitors.
However, both 2022 and 2023 show a decline from the peak visitation observed in 2021, when 581,000 visitors explored the park.
