MIDLAND, Texas — According to a press release from the City of Midland, the number of passengers departing from Midland International Air & Space Port jumped by 14.25% compared to the previous year.
This increase contributed to a year-to-date total of 285,969, marking an 11.5% rise compared to fiscal year 2023.
Among the airlines, Southwest Airlines accounted for approximately 46.7% of the total passengers flying in February.
United and American Airlines also operate flights to and from Midland and The City of Midland also stated that Delta will soon join as the fourth airline, starting service on April 22, 2024.
City officials also reported a 12.8% increase in parking revenue at Midland International Air & Space Port for February.
