TONIGHT: The low for tonight is only slightly below what we had last night with still above normal low temperatures. This will start trending lower back to our near normal averages as we progress into the weekend and into next week which will give great relief to those who have early to late night commutes to work.
LOW: 79°
WIND: S 10-15 mph.
TOMORROW: High Pressure is finally making its way out of the basin into the Northeast part of the states giving us some relief into next week and even tomorrow with already "cooler" temperatures in the low to upper 90's throughout the basin. This will make a nicer experience for the fair this weekend into Sunday but always remember to apply the sunscreen and stay hydrated with frequent breaks in between to stay cool!
HIGH: 99°
WIND: S 10-15 mph.
Looking Ahead: The long-term forecast offers a hopeful break from the persistent heat and dryness. The Climate Prediction center even shows that with their latest outlook with the next 6-10 days for temperatures back to near normal conditions. This is due with High pressure making its way out of Texas giving us the much-awaited relief with temperatures into the lower to mid 90's for much of next week. We are forecasting an upper-level low making its way into the Permian basin bringing in associated moisture from the Gulf and the Pacific making itself known into next week giving us those small rain chances later in the week. This is expected to update as model confidence grows and we will give you the latest as it updates on those chances of rain and what you could expect in West Texas.
