Hobbs Police Department in search of Alexis Saenz, charged for homicide

21-year-old Alexis Saenz is wanted for failing to appear in court for a hearing regarding violations of her conditions of release on Oct. 4.

HOBBS, N.M. — The Hobbs Police Department (HPD) is asking for the public's help Monday in locating 21-year-old homicide by vehicle suspect, Alexis Saenz, who failed to show up in court.

In November of 2023, Saenz was arrested and charged with vehicle homicide after a dispute that involved the death of 19-year-old Adeja Baca.

"Ms. Saenz was released earlier this year under conditions involving GPS monitoring. Ms. Saenz was scheduled for a hearing regarding violations of her conditions of release on October 4th but failed to appear and subsequently removed her GPS monitoring system. She now has an outstanding bench warrant through the 5th Judicial District Court," said Reanna Alarcon with Hobbs PD.

Saenz is described to be 5 feet 3 inches, weighing at 118 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair.
