ECTOR COUNTY, Texas — Ector County ISD has announced an update regarding the start of school on Monday, May 12 due to the Boil Water Notice that's been in place over the weekend.

The notice will have little to no impact on breakfast and lunch. The school's nutrition team is prepared to work around any limitations and will have meals ready for all students.

However, the district does not have enough water bottles in stock to provide to all staff and students. Ector County ISD is advising parents to send a bottle of water to school with their child to be sure they have water if they want it.

The City of Odessa is expecting the Boil Water Notice to be lifted around mid-morning on Monday, May 12.
