MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas — NewsWest 9 reported Monday the Midland County Courthouse experiencing flooding issues due to the fire extinguisher system's pipes being damaged, causing a leak Monday.
This flooding has been going on since Wednesday, but Midland County Court Administrator Jenny Hilton has informed NewsWest 9 that the courthouse "will reopen" Thursday at 8 a.m.
The Commissioners Court meeting was cancelled Tuesday due to the flooding and the county said they are planning to reschedule the meeting for the week of Jan. 22.
