ECISD and MISD to hold special board meetings to canvass Election Day results

ECISD will meet Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Administration Building while MISD will meet Friday at noon at the Central Office located at 615 W. Missouri Ave.

After last Tuesday's Election Day, Midland ISD and Ector County ISD are ready to canvass the results of the bond election.

ECISD is holding a special board meeting on Thursday morning at 10 a.m. This is because the results would not have been available from the elections office for Wednesday night's regular board meeting, so a quick meeting on Thursday is necessary.

Proposition A passed while Proposition B and C failed during last Tuesday's election. The proposition is worth more than $400 million and will go towards building two main campuses and upgrades to all district facilities.

The meeting will take place at the Administration Building Board Room, 802 N. Sam Houston.

MISD is holding their special school board meeting Friday at noon in Room 101 at the Central Office, located at 615 W. Missouri Ave.

MISD's $1.4 billion school bond passed, making it one of the most expensive school bonds in state history. The bond will go towards grade reconfiguration, updates to facilities safety measures and upgraded technology.
