Alpine fire successfully put out, no injuries reported

An Alpine fire Tuesday night caused a portion of West Highway 90 to be closed.

ALPINE, Texas — A fire Tuesday night at a residence in Alpine has been put out, according to an Alpine Fire Department (AFD) Facebook post. 

According to the post, the fire took place near the 2400 block of West Highway 90.  

AFD crews were able to quickly put out the fire limiting further damage to the home.   

All residents inside of the home were reported to be safe. West Highway 90 was closed for a short time Tuesday night due to where the fire hydrant was located.
